Hanoi will organise seven special tourism programmes to celebrate the millennial birthday of the capital city in 2010, according to the Hanoi Cultural, Sports and Tourism Department. |

The tourism sector will plant a flag on the nation’s highest mountain, the Fansipan in the northern province of Lao Cai to mark the capital city’s millennium birthday.
According to the Deputy Director of Hanoi ’s Culture, Sport and Tourism Department Mai Tien Dung, a group of 85 people working in tourist sector will set out on their climb up the 3,143-m mountain on October 26.
This is a joint activity between the municipal Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism and the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to welcome Thang Long-Hanoi 1,000 th birthday and the 2010 National Tourism Year./. |
